Twisted Automotive

At Twisted® we have dedicated ourselves to a single exceptional vehicle, both us and our customers know that we do it better than anyone else. We have only ever worked with the Defender® and as a result we know it inside and out, we understand its DNA. What makes it great; and where its weaknesses lie.

In fact, Twisted® is unique, just like each vehicle it builds; no other company focus entirely on Defender® in this way. Over the years, continued product development and exceptionally high engineering standards have produced a range of Twisted® specific components that make the iconic Defender® better than it has ever been.

We have improved the original, no change is detrimental and occasionally we have created something that people said wasn't possible. We have worked tirelessly with the best component manufacturers in the world to create enhancements exclusive to Twisted®.

Our engineers and designers know that modifying a Land Rover® properly takes more than a set of alloys and privacy glass; each client and vehicle is different and to meet our exacting standards is a bolt by bolt, hand crafted, time intensive process.

biffa

Biffa are proud to sponsor the ‘Business Tourism' category at the White Rose Awards 2017.

Here at Biffa we pride ourselves on providing an essential professional and compliant service to satisfy the needs of our industrial, commercial and public sector customers throughout the UK, and help them to meet their legal obligations and responsibility commitments.

Your needs matter to us; that's why we have the largest specialist waste and recycling vehicle fleet in the country. This allows us to provide you with an exceptional level of service, tailored to your requirements. Through our national network of collection depots covering over 95% of UK postcodes we provide a local service to all our customers.

Our wide range of waste and recycling services cover all commercial waste streams and with our OneCall service we also offer emergency unplanned waste removal.

Almost half of UK SMEs are losing up to 10.5 days of time a year removing emergency waste, including illegal fly-tipping, from their premises according to a survey of business owners conducted on 2016.

With each incident taking up to seven working hours on average to handle for 44.5 per cent of businesses, companies are missing out on vital working time.

Biffa commissioned the research ahead of launching the rapid emergency waste removal service for UK businesses dealing with unexpected general, electrical or hazardous waste. This service guarantees fast collection and disposal with response times starting from a little as three hours.

Slingsby

slingsby

Since 1571, when William Slingsby discovered the unique properties of the natural spring water from the Tewit Well in Harrogate, discerning individuals have sought out the picturesque Yorkshire town to restore body, mind and soul by relaxing, indulging and socialising. Slingsby did things differently, thought differently and had a vision that others considered to be extraordinary or even, a little odd; he epitomised the Spirit of Harrogate and we are proud that our unique spirits bear his name.

The key ingredients of Slingsby Gin are hand-grown local plants that are synonymous with the beautiful and restorative nature of Harrogate. These are complemented with water drawn from the world-famous Harrogate aquifer, pure single grain spirit and a handful of the finest ingredients sourced from around the world. All are expertly brought together and hand finished in North Yorkshire.

P&O Ferries

p&o

P&O Ferries' iconic route from Hull to Rotterdam first began 52 years ago and was followed a decade later by a service between Hull and Zeebrugge.

During that time the company has employed hundreds of local people, taken hundreds of thousands of tourists to the continent and transported millions of tonnes of freight to and from Britain.

Today, as we celebrate Hull being the UK City of Culture in 2017, both routes are as popular as ever.

Two giant, 60,000-ton, cruise-ferries - the Pride of Hull and the Pride of Rotterdam - provide a daily service across the North Sea to Holland. While the route to Belgium is served by the Pride of York and Pride of Bruges, which have been relaunched this year with an £8.5 million refurbishment.

With mouth-watering food on offer in the Brasserie, live music, bars and airport-style shopping, the holiday begins when you set foot on the ship.

Janette Bell, Managing Director of P&O Ferries, said: "We have employed people in Yorkshire for many years and taken hundreds of thousands more on holidays to the continent. Given our enduring relationship with the county, we are delighted to be the Official Ferry Partner for Hull City of Culture 2017, a welcome celebration of one of the great maritime cities of the world."
